Habitat for Humanity of Washington County is an ecumenical 501(c)(3) non-profit homebuilder and mortgage lender affiliated with Habitat for Humanity International. Homes are built in partnership with low income families meeting residency and HUD income guidelines. Volunteer labor is used for construction. Homes are sold at cost with a 20-25 year zero percent loan provided by Habitat. Families are required to complete a minimum of 300 hours of “sweat equity” prior to closing on the home.
Our mission is through faith in action, Habitat for Humanity of Washington County builds homes in partnership with families and engages our community to end the cycle of poverty housing.
The ultimate goal of Habitat for Humanity of Washington County is to eliminate substandard housing in Washington County by building and promoting decent, affordable housing that enhances neighborhoods and revitalizing communities.
