Habitat Greensboro works toward our vision of a world where everyone has a safe and affordable place to live. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. Through financial support, volunteering, or adding a voice to support affordable housing, everyone can help families achieve the strength, stability, and self-reliance they need to build better lives for themselves. We believe that owning a home is a major milestone on the road to a family’s financial success, and a key component of our community’s economic stability. Since 1987, Habitat Greensboro has served over 500 families in Greensboro. In addition to the homeowners we serve locally, Habitat Greensboro provides funding to our affiliates in Honduras and Jordan, where we have helped to build nearly 500 homes.
