HORYZN was founded in 2019, with students contributing to our different subteams: Flight Testing & Control, CAD, Integration & Design Loop, Structure and Business. The student initiative has also become part of the NEXT Prototypes e.V. HORYZN is particularly proud of the internationality of the team - over 20 countries are represented.

HORYZN mainly wants to solve real-life problems with good purpose by applying theoretical knowledge gained in university. Besides that, the initiative strives for an increased social and political acceptance of UAVs.

In July 2024, we finished our latest project: Our UAV KOLIBRI, developed for delivering life-saving defibrillators, successfully took off after 12 months of testing, building, crashing and redesigning.

Right now, the new team of HORYZN is developing an autonomous life-saving passenger drone to compete in the GoAERO Prize, redefining the field of Advanced Air Medical Mobility. Contact us for more details!
