HIDEOUT PICTURES, LLC is a company based out of 3728 KEYSTONE AVE, Nashville, Tennessee, United States.
Owned by CEO Shannon Houchins, music artist Colt Ford and Zaxby’s CEO Zach McLeroy, Average Joes Entertainment launched in 2008 with its flagship artist Colt Ford. The company is credited with launching the careers of country stars Brantley Gilbert, Tyler Farr and more. AJE’s rich catalog of album titles includes releases from such iconic artists such as Montgomery Gentry, Bubba Sparxxx and Nappy Roots.
Early on, AJE adopted Youtube as a music video monetization tool thereby converting a marketing expense line item into a monetizable asset. Soon thereafter, short-form content became its own booming business for Average Joes and AJE created HIDEOUT to amp up its short form slate as well as distribute other short-form content creators.
In 2014, HIDEOUT moved into long form by self-financing and producing a half-hour single camera pilot, “Still The King,” starring Billy Ray Cyrus and Joey Lauren Adams. The pilot quickly sold to CMT and, subsequently, Hideout produced two hit seasons of the show.
In 2017, Average Joes invested more into Hideout and plunged deeper into television while also making a move into film.
