Restructured and established in 2007, Guodian United Power Technology Company Limited (United Power) is a state-owned high-tech company focusing on green energy industry and a leading supplier of total solutions of wind turbine generator systems. Originally, United Power was Longwei Power Generation Technology Service Co., Ltd — a joint venture with Westinghouse of United States since 1994 and later a joint venture with Siemens from 1998 to 2006 before restructuring to a state-owned enterprise in 2007. United Power is wholly-owned by China Guodian Corporation Group, one of the five largest state-owned power generation groups in China and a Fortune Global 500 Company in 2010. With over 4000 employees and expected revenue reaching USD 2 billion in 2011, United Power already ranks top 10 worldwide among wind turbine manufacturers in terms of market share in 2010. United Power has been awarded winner of the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 Asia Pacific 2010 ranking No. 2 in Green Technology sector and No. 5 amongst all top fast 500 companies with 3-year growth rate of 3,738%. Also, United Power has been awarded one of the Top 20 Annual Fast Growing Companies of APEC Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Value Ranking in 2010. Headquartered in Beijing, United Power owns five subsidiaries, three holding companies and six manufacturing and R&D bases in six cities across China, namely Baoding, Lianyungang, Chifeng, Baotou, Yixing and Changchun. Its main businesses range from design and research, manufacturing, to sales and services of large wind turbine generators. Our product portfolio includes wind turbine series with rated capacity of 1.5MW for normal, high altitude, tideland & coastal, low temperature conditions, and independently developed double-fed offshore wind turbines with rated capacity of 3MW. Permanent Magnet Direct Drive wind turbine with rated capacity of 3MW is schedule to deliver in the middle of 2011 and large wind turbine series using proprietary technology with rated capacity over 6MW are also being developed an d scheduled to deliver soon. With installations of over 3000 units of United Power wind turbines across China’s provinces, cities and regions such as Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, Hebei, Shandong, Liaoning, Jilin, Shanxi, Jiangsu among others, the availability of our wind turbines are over 97% which is of top domestic standard and international standard also.
