Surrey's Oldest Golf Club Set on the North Downs above Merrow, Guildford Golf Club is the oldest and one of the finest golf courses in Surrey. A par 69 course 6160 yards in length. On the course, on a clear day, there are spectacular views of the Surrey countryside, Wembley Arch (6th), the Post Office Tower (4th), Guildford Cathedral (18th), planes coming in and taking off at Heathrow (3rd). Built in 1886 this long established course has a natural drainage system which is the envy of many other golf clubs in the south east.
