The Doux Group was created in 1955 and is Europe’s largest exporter of poultry and processed poultry products. The company is also France’s leader in breaded products with its Père Dodu brand.
The Doux Group is ranked as the 600th largest French company and 15th largest employer in Brittany, making it a leader in the agri-food industry.
The Group’s strategy relies on a complete marketing and supply chain:
- An integration strategy: the Doux Group is present throughout the whole production chain. Thanks to expertise in all areas of the marketing and supply chain, traceability over the entire chain and maximum product quality are ensured.
- A multi-product strategy: the Group’s very wide range of products enables to constantly adapt to market trends and customer expectations.
- A multi-market strategy: the Group sells its products in over 100 countries, ensuring an abundance of outlets.
The Doux Group is present throughout the whole production chain, from the egg, to the customer's plate. The company owns 5 production sites for whole poultry and processed products, 2 feed mills and 2 hatcheries.
In 2015, the Group reached a turnover of €400 million thanks to its 2,000 employees and 500 breeders including 300 under inclusive contracts.
In 2016, Doux is entered a new phase of development with its takeover by the 2ndFrench agricultural cooperative group Terrena, backed by Sofiproteol. The Group Doux is now integrated in Terrena Poultry Division, as its export business unit.
