The mission of Greenville Center for Creative Arts (GCCA) is to enrich the cultural fabric of our community through visual arts promotion, education, and inspiration. Founded by a dedicated group of artists, teachers, and community leaders, the Art Center is a non-profit organization that offers programs and outreach for people of all ages, backgrounds, and economic circumstances.
Participants at GCCA can enjoy a large roster of art classes, offered both in person and online, summer camp programs for children, and rotating exhibits in three different gallery spaces located in the historic Brandon Mill complex in the Village of West Greenville.
In addition to its art classes, GCCA is open to the public and free to visit Wednesday through Friday, 1pm to 5pm. The Art Center is also open for extended hours, 1pm to 9pm, on the first Friday of every month as part of the Metropolitan Arts Council’s “First Friday” art walk. At GCCA, you’ll have the opportunity to meet a variety of resident working artists, see their studio space and works in progress, and learn more about their personal style and artistic process.
Greenville Center for Creative Arts is an anchor for the upstate’s burgeoning visual arts community and is located in Greenville’s arts district, just west of downtown. Greenville’s Downtown Trolley (Route 903) provides visitors to the downtown area easy and free transport to the area from April through September, every Thursday and Friday, 6pm to 11pm, and Saturdays, 5:30pm to 11pm.
