Founded in 1925 with industrial activities linked to the local agricultural environment, the company has today a rich corporate heritage being under the ownership of Unilever, ICI and Croda in recent times. Over the last 50 years the company’s raw material profile has widened with local available vegetable sources such as olive and soya oil. Current owners of Green Oleo have been operating in the organic chemical industry for more than 50 years through one of the major Italian chemical groups with a turnover of 1 billion US$ and manufacturing plants in every region of the world. As Green Oleo is specialized in renewable oleochemicals it is opearated as a separate company.
