Green Key is an eco-label for hotels, campsites, small accommodations, restaurants and attractions awarded to more than 3600 establishments in over 65 countries worldwide. Green Key is a programme of the international non-profit charity Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), which also runs Blue Flag for beaches and marinas worldwide.
Green Key aims to:
• Increase the use of sustainable methods of operation and technology in the individual establishments, thereby reducing the overall use of resources
• Raise awareness and create behavioural changes of staff, guests and suppliers of individual establishments
• Increase the use of sustainable methods and raise awareness to create behavioural changes in the hospitality and tourism industry overall
