Graniteville Specialty Fabrics' roots were planted in 1845 when William Gregg built the South's first cotton mill in Graniteville, SC and created the Graniteville Company. The Graniteville Company started its Coated Fabric Plant in 1947 and we have been inventing and perfecting chemical coating formulations and web-based coating for textiles and other substrates ever since. Through an innovation process that combines chemistry and technology, Graniteville leads their markets in development and sourcing of custom coatings. With custom color compounding capabilities, we create specialized technical solutions specific to end users and take pride in our spirit of innovation, perfection, and commitment to the environment. Graniteville produces small batch size custom aqueous and solvent-based formulations from bulk received raw materials allowing Graniteville to support chemical customers and co-producers with just-in-time and as needed quantities to improve security of supply and inventory working capital.
