Gramedia Store was established on February 2, 1970 by P.K. Ojong, started a mission to participate in the effort to educate the nation while in the other hand also disseminating the knowledge and information through various retail means, book distribution, school & office stationeries and multimedia product, marked by its excellent services, proactive management and healthy business behavior.
From a small book store with the size of 25 M2, located in Jalan Gajah Mada, Jakarta Barat, Toko Gramedia until the middle of 2015 had developed into 108 shops. In the age of 45 years old, Toko Gramedia changed its brand identity which contains Inovation, Initiative and Inisiation. Gramedia brings transformation to the society ideas. Gramedia exist for everyone to find and develop their ideas. Ideas to start an imagination, ideas that inspire and ideas that leads to innovation. Gramedia no longer just become a transactional place but has become the interaction center. Gramedia serve people not just customer. Ideas for Gramedia is like a general living being, can grow and develop, need time, attention and commitment so it will be useful and change the society lives.
