Jersey is a parliamentary democracy and is a dependency of the British Crown.
The Government of Jersey refers to the island's Ministers and public administration. The island’s parliament is called the States Assembly.
The government comprises the Council of Ministers and nine administrative departments. These are:

• Children, Young People, Education and Skills
• Health and Community Services
