Good Use helps universities and large organizations save time and money on waste diversion efforts while dramatically improving the recycling and reusing experience for their communities.
There are three parts to Good Use’s services:
#1 Seamless experience: Good Use provides its partners with a branded mobile and web application that connects their community members to give and get free items among themselves. Good Use takes care of all the work of setting up, launching, and operating to reduce workload on administrators.
#2 Intelligent Waste Analytics: When goods are reused, they are diverted from landfills and given a new life, while packaging waste from purchasing new items is avoided. This results in a measurable total reduction in emissions and landfill waste. Good Use measures the weight, CO2e, material type as well as dollar value of goods saved from landfill to provide universities with this reporting.
#3 Student and Community Engagement: Good Use partners with various departments and student organizations to drive a culture of reuse from the bottom up. Good Use helps incentivize sustainable living through special programming such as Free Find Fridays, supporting a student run club dedicated to running reuse-focused initiatives as well as intimate concerts with well-known artists to reward most active users.
