Located in Tauranga, NZ Good Neighbour provides practical opportunities to connect and support one another so that lives and neighbourhoods are transformed. We enable communities and their people to access what they need in their life to flourish. Always focusing on giving people a hand up instead of hand-out. Through Good Neighbour, we: - Provide a place where people have a sense of belonging. - Help create connections that empower people to improve the quality of their lives. - Lift everyday burdens of people living in the Bay of Plenty area through the simple principle: “give, provide service and make someone’s day”. When burdens are lifted, people can focus on other areas of need in their lives. We do this through: - Food Rescue - Neighbourhood Projects - Community Gardens - Firewood - Care Team - Kitchen Good Neighbour relies on a dedicated crew of over 300 volunteers who help us pursue our goal of transforming communities in the Bay of Plenty. Individuals, schools and businesses can all pitch in.
