Good Neighbors is an international humanitarian and development NGO in general consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). The organization was started in South Korea in 1991. Good Neighbors has been working continuously for community development and enhancing the capacity of poor people to improve their livelihood and quality of life. Since its establishment, Good Neighbors has contributed in providing primary education to children all over the world, and in recognition thereof, Good Neighbors was awarded “Achieving Universal Primary Education” Millennium Development Goal by United Nations. Currently, Good Neighbors is supporting approximately 16.8 million people including 9.6 million children globally.
GNI has been working in Nepal since 2002 as Good Neighbors International Nepal with the objective of improving lives of poor people, especially children through education, income generating activities, health services, child protection, disaster risk reduction, advocacy and network building. Currently, GNI Nepal has been operating its activities in 20 districts.
