Since its inception in 2012, the Warriors Community Foundation has delivered more than $25 million in impact, including $15 million in grants targeting educational equity in Alameda and San Francisco Counties, refurbished public basketball courts in low income communities around the Bay Area, and donated thousands of tickets each season to local schools and nonprofits. In Fall 2021, the Foundation announced a docket of $1.85 million in grants – its most ever in a single year – to 53 organizations, including investments in early childhood development, elementary literacy, STEM enrichment programming, high school mentoring, and college access and persistence.
Through Hoops for Kids program, powered by Salesforce, each Warriors 3-point basket made during the regular season generates $500 to be donated and evenly distributed to eight non-profit organizations working locally to improve opportunities and successful outcomes for youth. Since the program’s inception in 2012, $3.36 million has been donated to these organization serving approximately 26,000 students annually throughout the Bay Area.
Additionally, our other programming includes our partnership with the Good Tidings Foundation in refurbishing basketball courts in low income communities around the Bay Area, creating over 85 local courts. The Foundation also donates thousands of tickets each season to local schools and nonprofits serving at-risk and vulnerable students.
