GoFibre is a leading independent Scottish broadband provider and network builder, focused on rural and market towns up and down the East Coast.
GoFibre was founded in 2017 in the Scottish Borders town of Duns, to address the need for faster broadband in rural areas, initially as a wireless broadband provider.
The company secured a large investment in early 2022 from Gresham House plc’s sustainable infrastructure fund, BSIF, to accelerate its rollout of full-fibre broadband throughout Scotland and the north of England, enabling the company to deliver connectivity in forgotten areas and address the UK’s digital divide.
At the end of 2023 GoFibre’s full fibre broadband was available to over 31 towns and villages across Aberdeenshire, Angus, Fife, East Lothian and the Borders - as well as in the north of England in Teesdale and Northumberland.
Customers rate GoFibre as excellent on Trustpilot and the company invests a significant amount of time, energy and funding into supporting local charities and community projects via the GoFurther fund.
