“In a gentle way, you can shake the world” – Mahatma Gandhi
Established in 2011, Global Rainbow Foundation (GRF), the Charitable Trust (Ref. B181 No.-400) functions at the grassroots level in its mission to walk with the most vulnerable group –Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). In its proximity with the people, the organisation acts as a bridge between the larger society and the marginalised. GRF adopts an all-embracing as it holds pluriculturality of the Mauritian land at heart. It, therefore, remains true to its symbolic logo – the Rainbow; diversity, inclusiveness, hope, rights and integration are the foundation of its vision and advocacy for the voiceless.
GRF lends an attentive ear to the needs and predicaments of the vulnerable. This is how it channelises its venture towards the ABILITIES of people rather than their disabilities. Alongside, GRF is close to the senior citizens of the island. Simultaneously, the organisation endorses the empowerment and integration of the PWDs through its mission:
Cater for the holistic human development and growth of the PWDs,
Provide the opportunities for the PWDs to lead a reward life in dignity and
respect
Ensure the PWDs social integration,
Mobilize all available resource,
Endorse the educational and professional growth of the PWDs.
Giving back to the society is the motto of GRF.
