Global Mining Association Of China (Gmac)

The Global Association of China (GMAC) is the representative body for both companies and individuals within the international mining community in China. GMAC’s main goals focus on Advocacy, Networking, Representation and Support. We represent the international mining community and our members by being: • A voice and face to: o The Central government, in particular MOLAR, NDRC, MOFCOM and lobal and provincial governments o Industry bodies and forums o International forums seeking input regarding the Chinese market • A platform for industry focused bodies wanting access to the international mining community in China • A forum for information dissemination to the membership as well as interested parties through the following media: o Regular monthly meetings, generally hosted in Beijing o Networking events o GMAC website (www.globalminingchina.com) o Mining industry newsletter and bulletins o Bring awareness of other related mining industry event globally • A “peak” industry body in China that can assist Chambers of Commerce in promotion to the government, or other bodies, that would be responsive to representative advocacy o A Forum of Chambers united by their common interest in mining, will gain value in a combined strength that this peak body brings. Membership Membership is open to companies as well as individuals. • General Membership – RMB6,000 • Foundation Membership – RMB20,000 Office Bearers GMAC office bearers are elected by the members as the Committee to decide on the strategic objectives of the GMAC as well as managing the efforts of the secretariat. The Committee acts as the representatives of GMAC to all stakeholders and the international mining community in China.
