The Global Institute for Water, Environment and Health (GIWEH) is an international policy research and development institute. It is a dynamic think-tank constituted as an association under Swiss law and registered within the Canton of Geneva (Switzerland), accredited by UN-ECOSOC and partner with UN-Water. Its main objective is to develop water related projects that encompass not only the provision of infrastructure, technology, but also capacity building and the promotion of good practices with focus on support the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). GIWEH is a board member of Swiss Water Partnership (SWP), a board member of Asia Water Council (AWC), and a committee member of the Citizen Forum of the 8th World Water Forum (Brasilia).
The GIWEH is a Swiss-based, not-for-profit technical, research and training organization, located in the center of Geneva, very close to numerous international organizations, NGOs, the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG), as well as many multinational private companies.
