The Global Centre for Work-Applied Learning (GCWAL) is a research and consultancy centre specialising in Work-Applied Learning (WAL) and Work-Based Learning (WBL). It was founded from the innovative and research-driven work of its Chairman, Emeritus Professor Selva Abraham, who has undertaken research in this area for the last 35 years. Professor Abraham is also currently the Chairman of the Higher Education Advisory Council of the Australian Institute of Business (AIB) which he founded in 1984.
AIB is the first private business school in Australia to be accredited to confer the full suite of business degrees of Bachelor of Business Administration, Master of Business Administration and the research degrees of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) and Master of Management.
