The Glasgow Clan are Glasgow’s only professional ice hockey club. We compete in the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL), the UK’s premier ice hockey league, which consists of ten teams representing all four Home Nations. The eleven other clubs are the Belfast Giants, Cardiff Devils, Coventry Blaze, Dundee Stars, Fife Flyers, Guildford Flames, Manchester Storm, Nottingham Panthers and Sheffield Steelers.
The Clan play out of the 3,500 seater Braehead Arena, a superb entertainment venue is a stunning location on the banks of the River Clyde. The club became the inaugural Gardiner Conference Champions is season 2012/13. Since our formation we have gone from strength to strength ending each season with record home attendances, silverware and a legion of Purple Army fans!
The Clan’s season runs from September until April. There are 28 home games and 28 away games during the regular season which runs until the end of March. The Clan also compete in the Challenge Cup and compete for the Gardiner conference.
We are highly involved with the local community, helping promote the benefits of a healthy and active lifestyle. Ice Hockey unites people from all walks of life. “Seeing is believing”, as they say, and you only have to attend a game to see and believe the atmosphere that we have created.
