Gilgandra is located in Central NSW at the junction of three major inland highways, and halfway between Brisbane and Melbourne. There is $5.5 Billion in Infrastructure, Mining and Energy projects planned or underway, within 1 hours drive of Gilgandra. In addition to the township of Gilgandra, we have two villages, Tooraweenah located at the southern entrance to the Warrumbungle National Park and Armatree located in the north. Across these vibrant communities, Council services a proud, passionate and vibrant community of 4,236 and welcomes many visitors over a typical year. We are a supportive rural community; with social capital through volunteerism a key feature. We support a wide range of community, leisure and cultural services and activities, plus provides for a diverse array of infrastructure services including recycling, aged care and land use planning.
