In 2012, TELPA Group acquired General Mobile, is a smartphone brand founded in U.S. in 2005 to create an international brand by keeping abreast of the universal technology. With the acquisition of General Mobile, TELPA terminated all distribution agreements with Operators and vendors and focused to own brand General Mobile. General Mobile changed the strategy to have “General Simplicity” on all duties and defined 4 major pillars, Product, Price, Channel and After Sales.
1. Product:
General Mobile has cooperated with the world’s major brands as: Google, Foxconn, Qualcomm, Corning, Sony, Panasonic, Sharp and Wacom; ranked in Top 3 of their businesses.
Customer input is an essential value that defines our design of product portfolio. With this experience in telecommunication sector, General Mobile delivers the customer needs on time.
2. Price:
Customer Trust and Channel Profit are General Mobile’s highest priority. Focused on to reach to the customer with a long-term stable price and wide penetration.
3. Channel:
Trust of channel ensures General Mobile to have a wide coverage and penetration. GMpuan which is the first mobile application for sales staff incentive program in order to increase the loyalty of sales staff.
4. After Sales:
General Mobile has an after sales service which is the fastest in Turkey. Ready in 60 minutes from service centers, Ready in 24 hours Nationwide (Turkey).
After the duties done with the new strategy and vision, General Mobile launced with smartphone model called “Discovery” which had been “the most preferred smartphone” with 2.5M sales. In 2015, General Mobile agreed with Google to launch androidone platform and androidone product launch in Turkey.
