Belonging to a tribe is crucial, and no one understands this better than Black gay men. When times get tough, having a group of people who accept and understand you can make all the difference. That's where GMAD comes in - we're a Brooklyn-based, Black-led, BIMPOC-serving, 2SGLBTQIA+-benefitting non-profit organization dedicated to helping Black gay men achieve intersectional equity through social services and social change. We don’t ask you to do something different; we ask you to become different – Together, Responsible, Informed, Black, and Empowered (TRIBE).
Our team is made up of 2SGLBT2QIA+ continuum people who represent and understand the communities we serve, and we're passionate about helping Black gay men find their place in the world. We offer peer-based engagement, professional support services, and a vibrant community that is always ready to lend a helping hand.
At GMAD, we understand that ancestral trauma and past experiences can be tough to overcome, but we're here to help. We provide culture-propelled and community-based social services to Black gay men through donations, grants, reimbursements, fundraising, and an annual benefit. Together, we can disrupt destructive trends and discriminatory conditions and build a healthier, more inclusive community for all Sexual and Gender Minorities.
So come join us - we're ready to help you thrive!
