Gametek Lyon

Gametek is a student association under the 1901 law based in Ionis Lyon. For several years, we have been organizing events that bring together different categories of players, whether it's fighting games with Super Smash Bros Ultimate (Gametek Nights, Dose2Sel, Colossel), team games such as League of Legends (LEL), and we aim to develop on other scenes that each volunteer wishes to develop during their involvement within the association! Our goal is above all to entertain a community of players by allowing them to meet in LAN. A friendly atmosphere is established. Imagine an amphitheater filled with enthusiasts shouting at the top of their lungs to support their favorite players/teams, well, you can find that with us! Ultimately, esports and sports are not so different when you see the passion of our players. Outside of the player aspect, our internal objective is to recruit motivated students so that they can develop their project! We train them in terms of skills, whether it's marketing, communication, audiovisual capture, etc. It's a knowledge that is passed down from year to year so that each volunteer can develop their own range of skills. We know how much the working world can fill students' minds with doubts, we are also here to guide them, help them find their way in the various activities that can be grouped together in event organization. We also make sure to remain inclusive and environmentally responsible, and to pass these principles on to the new recruits we have each year. The events and association domains must remain accessible to all, and there are many solutions to reduce waste and CO2 emissions, so there is no excuse for not being in these practices in our field!
