Gallo Record Company is the largest and oldest independent record label in South Africa. It is based in Johannesburg, South Africa, and owned by Arena Holdings Pty Ltd. Gallo Record Company has been in operation since 1926 and incorporates both Sheer Music and Bula Music into its stable. Gallo Record Company signs, promotes, and assists artists in promoting their music across Africa and internationally. The late greats, Lucky Dube, Oliver 'Tuku' Mtukudzi, Bhekumuzi Luthuli, Steve Kekana, Patricia Majalisa, legendary bands Stimela, Soul Brothers, O'yaba, Dalom Kids, Mango Groove, living legends Phuzekhemisi and Sipho 'Hotstix' Mabuse are among the leading talent that falls under the Gallo Record Company.
