GUTIKSLAND is a publishing project focused on the dissemination of military history and the militaria collecting. There is no doubt that war is the greatest trauma than a society can live, and its transformative character is unparalleled with any other fact that may happen. Our project is part of an effort to study, to know and to divulge the "history of the material culture" of the war conflicts, through the objects of habitual use that in them were used. Thus we promote and preserve a part of the historical, artistic, documentary and bibliographic patrimony, accumulated during centuries in the field of the armies, patrimony that represents a set of incalculable value for the cultural heritage, and that it is a first-rate legacy which deserves the efforts that have traditionally been made to guarantee their conservation, promoting their knowledge and enjoyment by society.
To this day, a very significant part of this study and conservation work is carried out by private collectors, so it loses a very important component of the aim that should be pursued, the disclosure. From GUTIKSLAND we intend to bring to all stakeholders, and to the general public, the study of armed conflicts, showing historical pieces of all kinds, which are in the hands of some of the most reputable collectors of militaria, ranging from uniforms, weapons, equipment, medals or vehicles, to the everyday use objects and more personal and trivial items related to people and their times.
