GRAMYA, an abbreviation for ‘Grassroute Radio for Acquiring Multiple Younique Angles’ is a ground-driven feedback initiative which focuses on giving a platform to each rural corner of India. Spanning across 700+ Gram Panchayats, currently, GRAMYA is on its mission to provide 2,50,000 Gram Panchayats, a recurring platform to gauge inspirations initiatives, policy-related gaps and challenges in socio-economic, socio-cultural, education and health sectors.
Each GRAMYA session is a 20-minutes-long audio circle on strategically decided topics of the month. A regular session has the Gram's Sarpanch (constitutional head of the village) interacting with and posing questions to the invited local subject-matter experts who, in return, share extremely local challenges and insights on the topic. The feedback is then shared with State and Central governments for them to improvise the execution mechanism for the policy.
Additionally, each GRAMYA session focuses on capturing inspirational success stories of those villages and individuals who either made the most of the Government's policies or took the independent initiative to address a social issue at hand and established a successful example. We give detailed exposure to their journey and help other Gram Panchayats emulate the same for their welfare.
