As one of the most innovative food brands in Germany, GOOD BANK combines the cultivation of vegetables, herbs and salads in vertical hydroponic farms with unique bowl and snack recipes. Launched in 2017 as the world's first "vertical farm-to-table" restaurant in Berlin and winner of numerous gastronomic awards, GOOD BANK is now a ready-to-eat brand and food producer that also inspires people with future-oriented food in supermarkets. In times of climate crisis and supply shortages as well as changing consumer demands, this is particularly trend-setting.
Vertical farming is what sets GOOD BANK apart from other food brands: By growing selected ingredients such as leafy vegetables and herbs in Vertical Farming modules in a resource-saving and pesticide-free way, this is, aromatic, pesticide-free, locally produced, independent of season or location, while being water- and energy-saving in production.
The launch in food retail followed the restaurants in 2021, with creative, fresh bowls and snacks. In the meantime, the ready-to-eat products have become the core of GOOD BANK and can be found at retailers, such as EDEKA and Gorillas. In addition to the mostly vegetarian and vegan salad and grain-based bowls, smoothie bowls, dressings, and sweet and savoury snacks are produced in the "healthy comfort food" style.
Founded by Ema Šimurda and Leandro Vergani, and with retail expert Niklas Hosang (Kaufland, EDEKA) on board since January 2023, the international team is building the lifestyle food brand of the future by combining food and ag-tech innovations and meeting the needs of today's consumers in a creative way and with seasonal offers.
