GFC Films is a film production company founded and managed by well-respected film and television producer Matthew Metcalfe.
With Metcalfe at the helm, GFC Films have produced more than 140 million USD worth of productions including 15 feature films, ten tele-features and numerous TV shows, documentaries, TVCs and music videos since their launch in 2004.
2017 has seen strong theatrical releases from the GFC Films slate including the release of Toa Fraser’s 6 DAYS, the true story of the 1980 Iranian Embassy siege, Roger Donaldson’s MCLAREN, a biopic exploring the life and achievements of legendary Kiwi race car constructor and driver, Bruce McLaren and the extreme sports feature documentary THE FREE MAN for Universal Studios.
Matthew and GFC Films are currently in production with WAYNE, Jeremy Sims’ feature documentary bio-pic about legendary Australian MotoGP rider Wayne Gardner, and Justin Pemberton’s adaptation of the multi-million best-selling book CAPITAL IN THE 21ST CENTURY as well as being in production with Bryn Evans’ new film about Indy Car drivers for Universal Pictures.
