GEMS World Academy Abu Dhabi (WAA) is a a private, co-educational IB British Curriculum School from FS1 to Year 8 (ages 3 to 12) serving the international community in the heart of Abu Dhabi, UAE. On our intimate campus, over 450 students of more than 74 nationalities enjoy a truly international educational experience. Through our dynamic, diverse and inclusive approach to education, with our IB World School provision underpinned by the National Curriculum for England, we strive to unlock the potential of all learners in our care. Our focus is on creating a nurturing, supportive environment that ensures all students feel safe, happy and valued, in which they are consistently engaged, challenged and inspired, allowing them to develop into responsible global citizens and critical thinkers.
WAA invites students, from FS1 to Year 8, on a journey of knowledge, with a strong community atmosphere, which provides a safe and comfortable environment for young learners.
With a passionate team of dedicated educators, we draw experience and expertise from across the globe, helping us to deliver a program of outstanding international standards.
We are so much more than the traditional concept of a school. We are a proud and supportive learning community with mutual respect and tolerance at our core. As well as being a thoroughly international family, we recognize and respect the importance of our host country’s language and culture, and actively promote these at all times.
Offering the IB British Curriculum, our students learn at an early age what it means to belong to a multicultural, diverse and inter-connected world. We practice daily, cultivating the ‘culture of kindness’, teaching our students to respect each other and the environment in which they live, and encouraging them to re-use and recycle while at school and at home.
