The Bazerji family has been present in the automotive industry since 1920, year of establishment of the family firm in Aleppo. It started operating as the sole distributor of Ford, Chevrolet, Opel, and other automotive brands. In 1947, Gabriel Amine Bazerji moved to Beirut and established an independent company in Saifi as an exclusive regional agent of Plymouth, British Electric and other world-famous firms. The family company established an independent operation in Lebanon in 1963 to represent and distribute serveral automotive brands, including: Opel, Lancia, Subaru, Suzuki, Maserati, Henchell Hanomag, and Ceat. Gabriel Amine Bazerji and his two sons Nabil and Rafic, established GABS (G.A. Bazerji & Sons) in 1987. Since then, the company has been the exclusive importer and distributor of numerous brands such as: Suzuki, Lancia, Maserati, Ferrari, Iveco, Samsung Vehicles, and Ducati.
