FruitOne is pioneer in the South African citrus cultivation and export market. As grower-exporter with its head office in Stellenbosch, FruitOne oversees and manages the production of lemons, star ruby grapefruit, navel and valencia oranges and Tango soft citrus on more than 2000 hectares of orchards on estates in Limpopo.
FruitOne’s history is firmly linked to people development. From the pioneering efforts of Dr Dennis Boyes at Henley in the early 1960s, to the expansion into Hoedspruit in the 1990s and the entry into joint ventures and long-term contracts in the new millennium, development has always been a key focus area.
FruitOne’s community partners have partial ownership of the farms on which they work. The company is committed to people development, offering continuous skills and management training and other community development programs. The farming division alone employs 620 permanent workers and provide up to 3 000 seasonal jobs per annum.
