Friendship at Home is a charity based in Cleethorpes and provides services for older people over the age of 60 in the Borough of North East Lincs. We aim to reduce social isolation and loneliness across North East Lincolnshire, and help improve older people’s quality of life. This is through our befriending service, weekly social groups, and exercise classes, where we encourage older people to make new and lasting friendships, and become a valued part of their local community.
We also provide social activities, advice, information, support and physical activities.
Through our range of activities, we aim to combat isolation, depression, and loneliness. Our tai chi, chair based exercise and kurling sessions provide physical activities with a social connection.
We also offer one-to-one befriending in the members home, residential befriending, and an independent living service.
Last but not least, we run a Dementia club for older people with mild to moderate memory impairments.
