Fortis Properties Corporation was a diversified growth-oriented company with operations in hotels and commercial real estate until 2015. The Company’s core assets included 23 hotels in eight Canadian provinces, representing over 4,430 room nights, and 2.7 million square feet of commercial and retail real estate primarily in Atlantic Canada. Fortis Properties was head-quartered in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador and employed approximately 2,400 people throughout its operations at the time of disposition.
