Foreship is an independent, highly respected ship design and engineering company, which has provided a broad range of services to the shipping industry since 2002. With more than 90 employees located in four offices in Finland, two in the US, one in Estonia, and one in the UK, its team of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers specialize in challenging conversions (with 1500+ projects managed to date), as well as in new-building outline and concept designs. Customers include the world’s largest cruise lines, and ship-owners in the passenger, cargo and offshore sectors. Well known for its expertise in maximizing vessel performance, Foreship offers industry-leading experience in a range of disciplines that include advanced CFD and hydrodynamics analysis to optimize efficiency, ‘in-wave’ performance simulations, hull and appendage design, and model test supervision. Foreship has also developed an air lubrication system which is in operation on some of the world’s largest cruise ships and has been proven to offer significant fuel savings.
