Food Safari ran 2008 to the end of 2013. The business is now closed. Food Safari specialises in gourmet food experiences in Suffolk that go beyond a traditional cookery school. It is all about getting out into the Suffolk countryside to discover great food and drink. Our unique experience days combine meeting inspirational food and drink producers, foraging or fishing with learning new skills like game butchery, sourdough bakery or sausage-making. Get exclusive access to farms and artisan food producers Go behind-the-scenes and visit farms, smokehouses, bakeries and butcheries that are never normally open to the public, like Pinneys of Orford (oysters and smoked fish), the Wild Meat Company (game), and Blythburgh Free Range Pork. Learn new skills and discover new recipes Learn something new from shucking oysters to making a sausages, from identifying edible mushrooms to filleting fish.
