Flux is a furniture manufacturing company specialised in acrylic. Based in Cairo – Egypt, we have an experience rich of 30 years of working acrylic. Our company is divided into 2 distinct departments: Flux Furniture & Flux Labs. Our goal at Flux is to constantly create functional and innovative contemporary furniture and accessories. Each piece is the fruit of an elaborate relationship between an ever-growing number of designers / interior decorators and the know-how acquired by Flux through the years. Each item is conceived to be both though provoking as well as functional, aesthetic and practical so as to stimulate the visual sense without disrupting the living space. The use of acrylic is essential in each of our products as it is a material that is extremely versatile. It has the ability to both meld as well as stand out in any given context thus suiting our philosophy of creating a subtle incidence. As we both manufacture the raw material (acrylic sheets) ourselves and transform it into the finished product, an increasing amount of our work has become tailor made. Our range of acrylic products vary from custom made acrylic sheets to finished products such as custom made furniture and decorative elements for hotels, disposable lunch boxes as well as our own line of furniture. Backed by our Flux Lab R & D department, we are at the cutting edge of what can be done today with acrylics, giving our creative department as well as designers the freedom to think outside the box. The Properties of Acrylic make it a very versatile material, able to withstand quite harsh conditions. Our Flux lab department has developed a technique that allows us to imbed an increasing variety of different materials such as feathers, wood veneer, massive wood strips, fabric, as well as gold and silver leaves. We are also able to create patterns as well as custom made colours.
