Who are Fluid Structures?
Fluid Structures is an award winning Engineering practice that was set up to work closely with Architects and Designers. The practice was formed in 1999 and has provided engineering input on projects that ranging from £50K domestic extensions to £100 million commercial schemes.
The practice is split up into small groups of four or five people, comprising of Engineers and often others with design-related backgrounds. This allows for a good support network as well as the chance for people to take responsibility early on. We encourage people to stretch themselves and grow their skills to resolve technically challenging issues.
Why Fluid Structures?
At Fluid we encourage people to develop and challenge themselves no matter how they want their careers to progress. We support people across the design industry; from engineering and architecture to product designers and material manufactures.
We are always keen to look at new ideas and regularly instigate new research projects in house.
We provide a mentoring system which allows new people coming into a group to find their feet with ease. Regular reviews, help new employees and the rest of the team gel, as well as providing a forum for knowledge to be shared and engineering issues to be discussed.
