Floreal Knitwear is a subsidiary of CIEL, a Mauritian conglomerate with diverse interests including textiles, banking, agriculture, resorts, real estate, and healthcare. Floreal Knitwear, a division of Ciel Textile, was founded in 1972. The company has since expanded its production capabilities to include facilities in Madagascar, India, and Bangladesh. It generates an annual revenue of $60 million USD by producing 5 million pieces of knitwear. Floreal is a leading producer of woolen products, with multi-country production facilities including duty-free locations in Madagascar and Bangladesh. The company supplies premium items to well-known brands of Europe and USA. The Bangladesh facility has a capacity of 1.5 million pieces and can produce a range of qualities from wool to cotton and their blends, using both handflat and automatic machines. Floreal has a central design studio in Mauritius and supporting offices in London and Dhaka to provide customized collections, trend boards, and yarn proposals. The company is accredited by SEDEX, BSCI, ICS, and RSC, and is fully owned, with plans to expand capacity in future.
