Fleurieu Peninsula Tourism contributes to a vibrant and sustainable visitor economy throughout the Fleurieu Peninsula region of South Australia and is achieved through leadership, representation, information sharing and strategic projects that leverage key stakeholder partnerships.
Our focus as an incorporated association is to develop a collaborative and innovative tourism industry that delivers a world-class visitor experience, resulting in increased visitation, visitor nights and spend, regional dispersal and return visitation. This supports a sustainable and profitable tourism industry that achieves visitor expenditure of more than $664m annually and delivers ongoing regional employment growth.
The lands and waters of the Fleurieu Peninsula are central to the culture and beliefs of the region's Traditional Custodians, the Ngarrindjeri and Kaurna people, who have occupied, enjoyed, utlised, and managed the region since its creation. Fleurieu Peninsula Tourism acknowledges the traditional owners, and we pay our respect to Elders, past present, and emerging.
The region covers the local government areas of Alexandrina Council, City of Onkaparinga, City of Victor Harbor and District Council of Yankalilla. Fleurieu Peninsula Tourism receives funding from all councils with further funding and support from the South Australian Tourism Commission.
Fleurieu Peninsula Tourism is an independent Regional Tourism Organisation constituted as an Incorporated Association. The Fleurieu Peninsula Tourism Board meets regularly and comprises tourism industry representatives.
