First Class Counseling

First Class Counseling is an independent college consulting company based in Newport Beach. I work with high school students of all ages, and help them navigate the college admissions process. Programs are tailor-made depending on the student's age, but common threads between the programs include: - Review of high school grades (each semester) - Coursework planning (each year) - Test planning for the SAT, ACT, and Subject Tests - Discussion of activities, including those in the summer - Discussion of each of the school year's roles in the college planning process - Student evaluation and goal setting - Ongoing college research - Planning college visits - Review of college matches - Creation of a final college list with reach, target, and safety schools - Essay Brainstorming and editing - College interview preparation - Application assistance, including review and editing - Final college selection assistance (if needed)
