Federal Police Fedpol

Whether investigating complex cases, analysing crime phenomena, supporting the cantons at national level, co-operating with international partners, or developing and operating IT infrastructures: fedpol is at the centre of policing in Switzerland and is the nexus between the Swiss cantons, and between Switzerland and its international partners. We investigate complex cases involving terrorism and serious crime on behalf of the Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland. We direct national and international police co-operation. We co-ordinate intercantonal and international investigation proceedings, and work closely with police throughout the world, particularly through Europol. We provide security for federal officials and people afforded protection under international law. We ensure the security of federal buildings and foreign diplomatic missions.
