The Federal Justice is a Judiciary branch of the Brazil Government that has as mission the pacification of conflicts involving citizens and the Public Federal Administration in several areas. In Federal Justice Lawsuits one of the parties is always the Union, Public Companies, Federal Foundations or Professional Overseeing Councils. Judgments are made daily about the environment, social security, tributary law, fiscal crimes, money laundering, international drug traffic and several other subjects.
Lawsuits with large and expressive number of parties are routine in the Federal Justice.
The jurisdiction of the Federal Justice is defined in the article 109 of the Brazilian Constitution.
