Fauna Forever (FF) is a non profit organization managing a series of monitoring, training and conservation projects in the Amazon rainforest region of Madre de Dios, in southeastern Peru.
We are committed to researching and protecting Peru’s rainforests and we are recruiting willing participants to join our efforts on the Amazon conservation front lines.
Our mission is to bring nature-loving people to the Amazon and involve them in the research and protection of rainforest biodiversity.
FF's flagship projects include:
FFT (Fauna Forever Tambopata): A long-term wildlife, ecotourism and biodiversity monitoring project. FFT's goal is to monitor the population status of wild species, evaluate the social and economic benefits of wildlife, identify where there might be significant unwanted human impacts, and pass on this knowledge to individuals and organizations with the power to make positive impact.
ARCC (Amazon Research and Conservation Center): A land conservation and sustainable business initiative of Fauna Forever and its partners, ARCA and WFF. The ARCC initiative will protect 10,000 hectares of important primary rainforest in the Las Piedras watershed, providing a safe-haven for tens of thousands of species from encroaching deforestation and forest degradation. The conservation area will also help to buffer an important area currently designated uncontacted tribes.
