Fairfield Investment Group (FIG)
The Fairfield Investment Group is an entirely student-led investment fund with $190,000 in assets under management (AUM). Our primary objective is to leverage our investment knowledge to generate returns that outperform the market while implementing risk management strategies to ensure proper diversification and avoid overconcentration.
Structure and Operations
The group is organized into various sectors, each led by a dedicated Portfolio Manager. Our activities include:
• Developing compelling investment pitches for both fixed income and equity asset classes.
• Creating concise one-pager summaries for stocks of interest when time does not permit a formal pitch.
• Conducting earnings report write-ups on our holdings.
Our investment efforts are paramount, but FIG also emphasizes professional development by hosting several guest speaker events throughout the semester featuring professionals working within the finance industry. Additionally, we arrange in-person shadowing opportunities with investment firms.
Mission and Culture
While generating returns is a significant aspect of our work, the primary mission of FIG is to equip students with essential skills and knowledge about investing and financial markets. We aim to provide experiences that students can apply in their future careers. We hold everyone in our group to high standards, as we take pride in our contributions and understand the importance of our work.
Joining FIG
We are highly selective in our recruitment process. If you are interested in joining, please reach out to Patrick Ahern or Matt Molta.
