Faculty of Sciences is an educational and scientific institution that provides teaching and research in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Matematics, Informatics, Geography, Tourism, and Environmental Protection at five departments:

* Department of Physics
* Department of Geography, Tourism & Hotel Services
* Department of Chemistry
* Department of Mathematics & Informatics
The Faculty was founded in 1969, although the beginnings of studying natural sciences and mathematics in Vojvodina can be dated much back in the past.
Presently, the Faculty offers education in over 50 majors, as well as postgraduate studies in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Protection Physics, Astronomy, Geography, Tourism, Hotel Services, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Mathematics, and Informatics. At the postgraduate level it is possible to earn specialist, MS, and PhD degrees.
The number of students amounts to nearly 4500. The Faculty issued 156 specialist, 581 MS and 438 PhD diplomas.
The Faculty staff of 475 employees includes 279 teachers and associates.
Teaching and research activities are carried out in 65 theaters/teaching rooms and 71 laboratories, occupying a total area of 21,928 m2. The well-equipped research laboratories represent a sound basis for scientific activities of the Faculty, pursued in the frame of national and international research projects. Each department has its own library with tens of thousands of books and several hundreds of journals. Special attention is given to cooperatioon with the industry in the sense of education and research activities through joint projects, organized seminars, workshops, training courses, etc.
