Food N' Nutrition Cluster (former AINS) has the mission to promote and contribute to the competitiveness and innovation of the Spanish food sector in the field of functional foods, and increase competitiveness through strategies that generate knowledge flows and innovation.
The Cluster of Food N' Nutrition was created in 2010 to contribute to the innovation within the Spanish food sector in the field of healthy and functional foods, and increase its competitiveness through shared strategies that generate knowledge and innovation flows.
Food N' Nutrition Cluster promotes innovation activities in nutritional and health claims, development of ingredients, additives and functional foods, food safety, industrial processes and technologies, market analysis, legal regulations and specialized training.
Food N' Nutrition Cluster comprises 4 knowledge centres and 22 companies (14 of which are SMEs), representing more than 4,300 employees, a turnover of € 1.300 million and a total investment in R&D of €38 million. Since its creation, more than twenty projects were carried out on new developments and opportunities, innovation issues, high-level training and promotion of RDI projects.
